I'm not sure how widely this is known, but I make my living along with my brother ~Nodstad as a jewellery designer. Primarily we do custom work for others, but this week we released our first range, available in solid .925 silver: Symbology.
The name is a combination of 'symbol' and 'logic'. The idea of this range came when we realised that every jeweller around stocks 'typical' symbols - asian characters, star sign symbols, letters for names... but after a while it's all the same. We looked around and realised that we are surrounded by symbols in modern life; that those symbols are so much a part of us we barely think about them. We isolated some of the most meaningful ones and turned them into a range of striking pendants.
Pendant meanings (top to bottom):
1. Precision - Simplicity can be remarkably complex.
2. Music - Dance like nobody's watching.
3. Play - Balance work and play, action and rest.
4. Heal - For those who heal, or need healing.
5. Risk - Handle with care and respect.
Each pendant is solid .925 silver and weighs between 8-9 grams. Circumference (not including bail / top section) is 2cm / three quarters of an inch.
These pendants are Australian-made with care and attention to detail. They're made-to-order, so please expect a wait of approximately one week on top of the usual shipping time when ordering these. The price above is for the pendant itself, the chain is not included.
We are offering these pendants for sale for AU$99 each.
This equates to approx. $84 USD.
Postage and handling is is AU$10 overseas, $5 within Australia.
Payment from the US is accepted via Paypal to payments@interrobang.com.au, using Australian dollars - this is easily done within Paypal. Payment within Australia can be taken a variety of ways; please comment here or email us at people@interrobang.com.au for more information.
We have a website at [link] but the catalogue is not yet online. If you're interested in custom fine jewellery there's more information about our services there.
Interrobang creates custom work for companies and individuals, so if you have a custom piece you've been wanting created, we'd love to hear from you!
Depends on what you want to do - I'm guessing you're looking at getting one of these pendants, in silver, same size and shape as the above but with a different symbol?
Assuming it was a symbol we thought we could sell more than one of, we'd charge about $185 all up. If we didn't think we could sell more than one, it'd be about $199.
If you're thinking of having something else designed (a ring, for example), we'd need more information before we could give a solid quote.
Thanks for your interest! I hope next time you're on the lookout for something nice to buy yourself, you come back and check these out - I can unbiasedly say they really are lovely, and top-quality - you can feel the weight to them. It kicks the butt of the usual made-in-China crap you see around.

They will definitely last forever, unless you have an unfortunate encounter with a steamroller (and even then, I'd bet on the pendant before your bones!)
I reckon having a Year-of-the-Snake pendant that is made in China is extremely fitting, really.
Gotta watch out for the made-in-China stuff masquerading as Proper Jewellery though; most jewellery chain stores in the US, UK and AU get all their stock straight from China these days. They don't tell you that, but yeah... To get really decent stuff made in the country, you've usually got to go to a designer's store. The cheap prices chain stores pay for that hollowed-out crap are causing genuinely good jewellers to go out of business, too.

Youchy ! by Yao Chi
Overhead tumble not by plan
Ground slams claw, much pain and then
"Youchy !, Youchy !", he hollers out loud
Yao Chi's fallen, from his cloud.

Alright, thank you.
(Incidentally, the only made-in-china I have is a year-of-the-snake icon necklace, so I can't get too upset
