Sam Vimes and Discworld both (c) Terry Pratchett, who I met the other day at a book signing. I drew this to give him. The writing is my attempt at being neat... honestly, when I TRY to write neatly it comes out looking like a seven year old did it! ;P But I like this pic. Terry Pratchett laughed out loud when he read the punchline!
I don't think Vimes' face looks quite right. I had trouble finding the balance between making him look too old or too young. And EVERYONE who looks at this and hasn't seen Paul Kirby's Discworld art comments on those weird boots! |
