What was "Crikey Duck"like?

Well, Jawslover, I can give you what I remember of the plot setup of Crikey Duck, but not much more, since the comic ended way too soon.

The three duck characters in the back were Zakiya, the daughter of a Mafioso, and her two co-conspirators Ranger and Darrell. They stole $20 million from Zakiya's father, then fled to Australia, where they wound up sharing a house with a group of Antipodean eccentrics (the other characters). Tanipus the platypus girl (the one asleep on the couch) was the fursona of one of the creators. Vix the reptile girl (curled up in front of the couch) was a nerd who cosplayed as part of the "human fandom". I don't really remember anything about Robbie, the donkey-looking guy, or Nami the non-anthro cat. The character I remember best was Marian, the thylacine, who was a New Age mystic. And since thylacines were thought to be extinct in the comic (as they are in real life), she pretended to be a greyhound so that scientists wouldn't imprison her in a lab. Oh, and the last strip ended with Zakiya's father figuring out his daughter and her two henchmen were in Australia and sending one of his goons after them.

And then it ended. And I still miss it all these years later. So much potential...

As soon as I saw this picture, the mighty ducks theme song came right into my head! Awesome job!

Such a shame. A finely drawn comic with lots of potential, died in it's tracks. It's like watching an abortion. What a waste.

Please bring this comic back, i loved reading it, and it's a shame to see it rotting on the site with no new pages :( Or at least start a new comic with the same characters or something.
